Is Chiropractic Care Covered by Insurance in Florida? What You Need to Know

Ever wondered if your chiropractic visits are actually covered by insurance? You’re not alone — it's one of the most common questions we hear at Orlando City Health & Wellness, especially from new patients. The good news? In many cases, the answer is yes.

Let’s break it down so you know what to expect before you step into our Winter Park clinic.

What Insurance Covers Chiropractic Care in Florida?

If you're insured through Florida Blue, Cigna, Aetna, UHC, AdventHealth, or Oscar Health — we’ve got you covered. Most of these plans offer benefits for chiropractic care, and our team will happily verify your coverage before your first visit.

Now, if you’re on Medicare, you’ll typically be covered for spinal adjustments as long as they're medically necessary. And Florida Medicaid also provides chiropractic benefits, though it has some restrictions on the number of visits.

But here's a big one, especially in Central Florida — Personal Injury Protection (PIP) from your auto insurance. If you’ve been in a car accident, Florida law gives you 14 days to get checked out to be eligible for PIP benefits. Chiropractic care is often one of the first recommended treatments after a crash. So don’t wait!

What If You're Not Sure About Your Coverage?

That’s what we’re here for. Our front desk staff and billing team will walk you through it, whether it’s submitting a claim or calling your insurance company on your behalf. We take the guesswork out of the equation so you can focus on getting well.
